2nd Annual Style Bias Fashion Week

Oct 8th 2015, We held our second annual Style Bias Fashion Week shows at Block 37 in Chicago, IL. The featured designers for the event were current and alum designers of the (PRO)jectUS / Steam Studio program. This event serves as a professional incentive for participants of Season 1 of (PRO)jectUS. The video highlights the young designers and professional partners who showed their lines at the Fashion Week shows.

Starting in June 2015, Commonwealth begin the initiative (PRO)jectUS.(PRO)jectUS |prō ˈjekt əs|(meaning):
PRO – advance level programming and/or skill set.
Project – to illuminate or put in the forefront.
US – initiative participants(PRO)ject US is an initiative for young adults between the ages of 13 – 23 designed to build fashion design, music production, and new media journalism skills. Adding value to the skills learned by curating artifacts created & knowledge gained in a comprehensive portfolio. Making that portfolio actionable with industry-centered special opportunities.(PRO)jectUS is supported by the Hive Chicago Fund for Connected Learning at The Chicago Community Trust.

Curate.Style.Capture Chicago 2013

In February 2013 we held our third Curate.Style.Capture in Chicago at Youmedia Chicago. Participants engaged in 3 Style Challenges led by Avri Coleman and Cheryl Pope.
